One of the things I love about in-home newborn session is the ability to showcase the season or time of year your baby is born. This might mean stepping outside for a quick outdoor photo when the flowers are in bloom or the leaves are changing during the Fall. Or like this sweet session during the holidays when Christmas is approaching and your home is decorated beautifully.

I usually like to keep to traditional photos that will be timeless and can be displayed in your home but throwing in a mix of photos showcasing the season is perfect for an album! And that’s exactly what we did for this baby boy’s newborn session. I documented the first part of the session in his nursery away from any holiday decor and then ended the session in the family’s living area with their beautiful holiday decor!
