Since Kevin and I have now been living in Greenville, South Carolina for over two months we figured we should start exploring the South and what better way than to visit the Biltmore Estate at Christmas! I can’t believe how big this place is, you could literally spend all weekend exploring the grounds and attractions. We will definitely need to come back but luckily we did have the chance to see some great things while there. The below photos were taken at Antler Hill Village, which was definitely one of my favorites … but that might have a lot to do with the winery located in the village which I must say has some awesome wine!
I have to admit the Biltmore Estate is absolutely breath taking and so is the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. No wonder George Vanderbilt picked this location!
The gardens surrounding the estate were absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to visit them in the spring when everything is in bloom. But the Conservatory was gorgeous and full of exotic flowers as well as almost every orchid imaginable. So I may have gone a little overboard on the photos!
Had to throw this cute little guy in here because this bird was definitely posing for us … not to mention doesn’t it scream Christmas with the red berries? LOVE!
And of course the reason for our visit … Biltmore at Candlelight!
