It has been the coldest winter I can remember in South Carolina since we moved down from New York in 2015! We usually get about one crazy day where it snows and then things start warming up … but this year it has already snowed on two different occasions and the temperatures have me thinking we are back in New York again!!! So I wasn’t sure what to expect for our first session in 2018 … and I was starting to get nervous because the last thing I wanted was for this Momma to be freezing! But we could not have had better luck! The weather took a crazy turn and it was perfect … blue sky and 65 degrees for January 20^th!!

We met Stacie and Erik through one of our sweet wedding couple’s last year. Stacie was the event and floral designer for their wedding and Erik is family of the groom! So when Stacie contacted me for their maternity session I knew we were going to have a great time with these two! And Stacie also mentioned she was going to design a floral arrangement for the session so I’m not going to lie when I say I could wait for this session! Stacie’s floral arrangements and bouquets are stunning and if anyone knows me well then you know I LOVE flowers! Wait until you see this gorgeous bouquet, it was the perfect touch for a winter maternity session!

We captured Stacie and Erik’s maternity session at the South Carolina Botanical Garden in Clemson, SC! It was actually a last-minute decision after their first choice location did not work out … and I’m so glad the first location did not work out because the South Carolina Botanical Gardens was amazing! I’m pretty sure it’s the only place in Upstate South Carolina where you can find a desert, hills and overgrown fields! Seriously beautiful!!!

Congratulations Stacie and Erik, baby Elijah is going to be so loved! And thank you for trusting us with these special memories.
