Joie’s First Birthday

It has been too long since I blogged any of our “real life” so what better time to get back into it than our sweet baby girl Joie’s first birthday! I’m not sure where to start or how to begin … this girl has changed our entire life. I never truly understood other parents when they talked about the impact a child makes in your life but now I get it … I really get it.

This past year has been tough; when other people would talk about the sleep deprivation I would think … well maybe it’s just them … we are pretty great sleepers so maybe she will be too. It was a huge wake-up call when I found out we had to wake up every two hours no matter what to feed her. But those days slowly faded, soon she was smiling, giggling and then came her first words … Dada of course!!

The sleepless nights faded and our little Joie Bean became this little person overnight who no longer just depended on us for just the necessities but suddenly understood we were her Momma & Dada and there is really no better person than Momma or Dada!

The morning smiles, the tears, the giggles and even the drool … this year has been the best yet. Happy Birthday my sweet Joie, you are so loved. Your Momma and your Dada would do just about anything to make sure you know you are LOVED, you are SAFE, you are INTELLIGENT and you are HAPPY. We love you Joie Evelyn Ma!!
