Pickens Nose Engagement | Nantahala National Forest
When it comes to engagement sessions one of the questions we get the most is about location. And because of this I started keeping a list of some of my favorite locations to share so couples and families can find the perfect spot to capture their memories. And as much as I love being able to do this what I love even more is when our couples have locations that are special to them that they suggest.
This engagement session is one of those locations that we would have never known about if Ashlei hadn’t suggested it when we started planning their engagement shoot. Not only is it close to home for Ashlei and Caleb but hiking is one of their favorite things to do as a couple so it was perfect. And Kevin and I are always up for a destination location especially when it involves a drive in the mountains during the fall!
We couldn’t have asked for a better day! It was 70 degrees and sunny at the top of the mountain and hardly a breeze. The only thing we had to worry about was ladybugs. Yep that’s right, ladybugs! For some reason there was a ton of ladybugs everywhere, which didn’t take away from the amazing view one bit but still pretty unusual. Just wait until see these views and how brave these two are! Kevin and I … not so much! We stayed a little further from the edge since I realized my fear of heights is a little more than I thought!
Congratulations Ashlei and Caleb! Thank you for hiking to the top with us! We had so much fun getting to know the two of you and loved hearing all about the area! We can’t wait until your wedding next year! Enjoy a few of our favorites from your Pickens Nose Engagement Session.
