I look forward to photographing this beautiful family every fall and seeing how much they have grown and changed within a year. It’s moments like these that really remind me just how important it is to take the time for photos every year. It’s so easy to miss those changes in your children when you see them every day. But if you were to look back one year you would see just how much of a difference a year can make. Sometimes it’s a child being photographed with their baby teeth and then all the sudden those teeth are no longer baby teeth.

In their teen years it might be a big growth spurt or during the toddler transition to little kid they may lose those chubby cheeks and baby fat. Whatever it is I can tell you there is always a change and please don’t make the mistake of missing it. Document all the years, whether they feel important or not. One day they will be so important to you as you look back and try to remember everything about that precious time in your life.
