Callison Family Session | Fine Art Family Photography Simpsonville SC

My first outdoor family session of the year and it was a beautiful one! We originally planned on an evening family session around sunset but with the weather looking like clouds and potential rain in the evening this sweet family was flexible and we switched to the morning to take advantage of the sunshine. And I’m so thankful we did because the morning light was gorgeous.

When I am documenting families with toddlers or young children one of my favorite suggestions to make the session for for your little ones is to play games. Toddlers love moving and running around so this helps to keep them happy and excited. We played so many fun games during this session from red light, green light to family hugs and tickles. Meltdowns may happen, it’s completely normal but the most important thing is not to worry. Don’t get angry or upset with your children. We want to keep photos a happy and positive experience. So if they don’t love something we will just move on and get them smiling again!
