A Foggy Summer Craggy Gardens Engagement | Asheville, North Carolina

All I can say is that I love all these mountain engagement sessions lately! And especially when they take us exploring new places we have never been. This session is special because it took us all the way to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina to a location called Craggy Gardens outside of Asheville. Kevin and I have always wanted to make it out to the Blue Ridge Mountains so we could not have been more excited when Paige & Haeden suggested a little road trip out to Craggy Gardens!

When you scroll through these images you will understand why we were so excited to capture Paige & Haeden’s engagement photos at Craggy Gardens! Although the different weather we encountered in just a span of an hour made photographing this session pretty tricky it was most definitely worth it!! I’m pretty sure this is our only session that includes foggy wooded trails and cliffs overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains with rolling fog and the best foggy pink sunset I have ever seen!

We had so much fun hiking the Craggy Pinnacle Trail with Paige and Haeden to the breathtaking overlook to watch the sunset. This trail was almost a mile long and Paige hiked the whole trail in heels and a white dress!!! Let me just say this is why I love our couples and how important photography is for them! This trail was narrow, muddy and steep at times and Paige was so relaxed and up for the challenge … and I’m so glad because these two looked stunning!

Paige and Haeden met through their families growing up and I can’t wait until their wedding this September to meet their sweet family and friends and be a part of their celebration! And based on their engagement session I think its going to be one amazing wedding day!
