I absolutely love that extended family sessions are becoming more and more popular! Seeing all the generations together in one photo is what these family sessions are all about. Sure you get family formals at weddings and other events but dedicating a whole session to document everyone together is a must! It allows me time to capture those must have family shots of everyone together and looking at the camera but it also lets me have the time to capture each family together and those sweet photos of the grandparents with their grandkids. And most all the moments in between. The laughter and joy because you know those are always some of the best moments to look back on!

For this beautiful family there were so many special moments to capture. Some of my favorites were of all the grandkids together but I absolutely loved just seeing this family interact with each other and just have fun. And wait until you see all the grandchildren, they are just the cutest and did so well! One huge positive of an extended family session is that it allows little ones a break from photos for a snack, a diaper change or to just play while other family members are having their photos captured! Sometimes that’s all they need and then they get excited for their turn after watching family have their photos captured.
