What does a first birthday session look like? Well a celebration of course! I love encouraging my clients to do something special for these photos whether it be a cake smash like this sweet session or incorporating balloons or flowers. It’s such a special milestone and adding a fun treat to the end of the portraits usually brings out all the smiles! Not to mention it’s such a fun way to end the session after all the portraits!

This Greenville SC first birthday photography session took place in my studio so we could incorporate a cake without worrying about all the weather and bugs that come with outdoor sessions! The simple neutral background of my studio is always a favorite of mine to keep the focus on baby’s details! And it worked perfectly for mom to get photos of baby girl Emory in all the precious outfits she picked out!
