What is a baby milestone session? While newborn photos often come to mind first, there are so many sweet stages to document during your baby’s first year.

I usually recommend milestone sessions around 6–8 months and again at the first birthday. Around 6–8 months, many babies are sitting on their own and showing so much personality. The first birthday is another special milestone to celebrate and preserve.

Of course, you can photograph any stage in between! Every baby grows at their own pace, and there is no wrong time for photos.

I recommend booking milestone sessions along with your newborn session. This helps ensure there is room on my calendar. I can also reach out as each milestone gets closer, making it easy to preserve your baby’s first year.
