That first year goes by so fast! It probably feels like yesterday that you were just meeting your baby and taking newborn photos and now all of the sudden your baby is starting to take their first steps, has tiny little teeth and is just full of personality. Freezing those newborn memories when your baby is so small and new to the world is just as important as this big birthday milestone! And I absolutely love getting to help them celebrate this milestone when mom and dad add a cake smash to the end of the session.

Baby girl Emme was just full of smiles and love for her momma and her Gigi. She did so well during her portraits but I think it’s easy to say the cake was her favorite part! Happy birthday Emmeline, enjoy my favorites from her first birthday session!
